I came to Union in 1987 as Associate Pastor in charge of family and youth ministries. On Easter of 1989 I became our Lead Pastor and have served for 34 years in this position. My message is simple: “Love God, and Love People!”. My calling is to bring God’s lost kids home to God, and to move the religious from religion to a relationship with God through the teachings of Jesus. God has blessed my wife Jane and I with 2 amazing daughters to share life with. I love a good cup of Starbucks coffee, a burrito Jalisco from Merlos, and sports radio. Here at Union we want you to always remember that “You Matter to God” and there are NO perfect people allowed!

Loving God and loving people is what it’s all about! I don’t “got” to, but I “get” to be a part of God’s ministry and mission for a living. I’ve been blessed to be a part of our staff for 18 years, and every year I get to love more, learn more, and lead more. Something that I still hold onto today from Seminary is the day one chooses to stop learning is the day one chooses to stop leading! My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13 from the Message translation, “Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. ”I’ve been called a bit ocd and a clean-freak. An ice-cold glass of milk and OREOS always hits the spot!

I have been the Creative Arts Pastor for the past 24 years at Union. My life would not be the same with out my beautiful wife Pam and amazing daughter Sydney! Incorporating ideas of imagination along with worship, I strive to constantly engage, move, inspire, and challenge people of all backgrounds and ages to develop a closer walk with God. With training and experience in many aspects of the Arts, I believe there is a place for everyone to participate. “God has given these gifts to all and we must bring them out so He can shine and be heard!”

I have had the privilege of being Union’s Youth Pastor for the past 20 years and been in ministry for a total of 23 years. I’m happily married to my beautiful wife Leslie. Our home is constantly filled with excitement on a daily basis raising our 5 children. It’s my passion to be a part of a multi-ethnic ministry that welcomes all…making a difference is what it’s all about! I believe that if we can reach students before the age of 18 we can change the direction of their lives. I love the Miami Dolphins, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and whoever plays the New England Patriots.

“Why fit in when you can stand out,” is the way I live my life! If it’s not my big hair, it’s my colorful clothes, or my Kool-Aid smile that everyone remembers. Think “pink” and your whole life will be better, or is that just mine… My 26 years in the educational field as both a teacher and a director was God’s perfect plan of leading me here to Union Church as your Children’s Minister. Not only do I get to worship and fellowship here, but I also get to educate young minds about God’s love and divine purposes for their lives. Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” P.S. THINK PINK!

I have been a church secretary for over 33 years, and I have been a part of our team here at Union for 19 years. I stay pretty busy as I oversee our membership data, projects, decorating, and serving our pastoral team! I love Christmas, Coffee, and Chocolate…but most importantly, I love God and love people!

I started out as a tech team volunteer in 2016 and eventually was appointed as Union's Production Manager in April 2022. I've lived in Avon Park for my entire life and have always had a passion for leveraging technology for the good of my friends and family. I got my Vocational Certification in Computer Network Science from South Florida State College in 2008, with part of my studies being done as a Senior in High School. I gave my life to Christ as a teenager. When I joined Union in 2016 I truly felt loved and welcomed from day one. That was when I knew that I found my forever church. I've been married for 15 years to my wife Tamara, and we have a beautiful boy and girl together. I look forward to being able to help further God's ministry with this gift of mine, and show the love and light of Jesus Christ through it.

I have been blessed to be a member here at Union for about 5 years. I have an amazing husband, and am the proud mom of a 28-year-old son and an 12-year-old son. My family and I relocated from New York back in 2005. As a new resident of Avon Park, I searched for a church home. In the meantime, I found my spiritual food and peace in a daily Bible Study, with Les Feldick, on a Christian television network. The message of GOD’s grace was emphasized more than I had ever heard. FAITH + NOTHING!!! Jesus accomplished it ALL at the cross. So, when the LORD led me to Union and I heard the same message, I knew it was where I was supposed to be. I currently enjoy volunteering with our Children’s Ministry and Ms. Fawn. I am blessed to be able to work with Ms. Connie Evers, as well as being a part of the Thanksgiving Feed. I pray that I may be a blessing to Union as it has been a blessing to me. Thank you for the opportunity! May GOD bless this mission center and ministry.
